About Funding South West

Funding South West is an advisory group to Creating Excellence made up of representatives of funders and funding advisers from all sectors. The aim of the group is to work towards more efficient use of the region's funding resources.

Funding South West believes that all who have funds, and all who need them, will benefit if the links between them are improved. Better links between funders, and better links between statutory and voluntary sector funding advisers and development workers will make for better funding, and better help for those who need it. Funding South West does not advise projects directly but acts as a point of reference for advisers and funders. It also signposts groups and communities to funding advice.

Funding South West works within a framework which allows funders and advisers to pursue their own interests, and also to work towards their shared aim - promoting the efficient use of funding resources and to encourage all those with an interest in funding to work more closely together.

We have already mapped the funders and advisers working across the region and made this information available on the website, as well as running a series of events across the region. Our current work includes:
