Bristol Central Library - accessible entrance ramp

Bristol Central Library required additional ramp access to make the library accessible to wheelchair users and others with mobility disabilities

Inside the libraryArchitecton were selected based upon initial scheme options for providing a ramped access as a detached structure, designed in a positive and modern form which complemented the existing building.

The Ramp promotes the idea of equality for all when entering the building. A strong use of colour identifies the uses within the building.

Close liaison with client and the designers ensured an holistic and positive approach.
