Evidence: National Evaluation of Local Strategic Partnerships (LSP)
The final report of the formative evaluation and action research research programme 2002-2005. This report highlights, amongst other things. the need to strengthen the policy framework for LSP development, and the need to take action to build leadership capacity and enhance the contributions of Councillors, and the voluntary, community, and business sectors.
This report triangulates three years of research from a substantial LSP programme (including surveys, case studies, and action learning). Despite variation, it concludes that LSPs have made good progress across England. Nevertheless the research assesses difficulties and outlines areas for further development.
