The South West Market Town Awards Scheme for 2006 was launched on 27 March. The scheme is being administered by the Market and Coastal Towns Association (MCTA). The Awards will celebrate excellent work being undertaken in market towns by recognising sustainable and innovative projects which are regenerating local communities.
Applications can be made in four categories, Environment and Culture, Social and Community, Business and Economy, and Partnership and Strategic Working. The deadline for entries is 26 May 2006. An application form and guidance note can be obtained from the MCTA web site, or by contacting Helen Lloyd at MCTA on 01823 250816.
