Funding: Community Grants Programme and information seminars

South West Foundation have organised a series of seminars about the south west region Community Grants programme.

The Community Grants programme is a partnership programme between the South West Foundation, Learning Curve, the Learning and Skills Council and the European Social Fund. Grants are available up to £12,000 for projects led by Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations that give people, who are furthest removed from the labour market, the skills and confidences that they might need to move forward.

The programme will open for applications on Monday 17th November and close at 5:00pm January 7th 2009. There is a long run in time on this grant programme to enable organisations to have some planning time for the application and taking into account the Christmas period when many organisations take the opportunity to close. It is envisaged that most of the funding will be allocated during this grant round.

If you are interested in any of the Foundation's other grant programmes the Foundation has a small grant programme for grants up to £1,000 with a quick turn around and also a Network Fund, again for grants up to £1,000, to enable people to get together and have a voice and an influence. Part of the Network Fund is also ring fenced to support Funding Advice Workers Networks. Please do visit our website for more information http://www.southwestfoundation.org.uk/

If you need further information please do not hesitate to contact the Foundation on 01275 333666.

If you are interested in applying to this programme please do try to come to one of the seminars.
