Jobs: Part-time/Freelance Coordinator - South West England

Contract: Up to two years with review/renewal after first year
Contract value: £5600 p.a. (inclusive of VAT)
Hours/Days:  Average one day per month (12 days p.a.), plus two additional full days p.a. for induction, training, meetings or evaluation.  Total of 14 days per year @ £400 per day (inclusive of VAT)

Job Description

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation (SMK) is the only registered charity in the UK dedicated to connecting, informing and supporting campaigners, and works with individuals who are tackling the root causes of injustice and developing sustainable and innovative solutions for social, economic and environmental change. 

Part-time freelance coordinator roles are being piloted in five areas of the UK, to help SMK to identify and act on more localised opportunities and provide better support to local and grassroots campaigners.  In particular, the Coordinators will:

· Help us to deliver better local support services to campaigners

· Increase SMK capacity to be informed about and respond to regional/local/devolved issues

· Increase SMK profile and awareness

· Enhance the potential for new collaborations and stakeholders

· Enhance the potential for SMK fundraising at a regional level if appropriate

· Extend SMK's marketing and dissemination audiences

• Help us to increase use, as well as relevance of our websites (e.g. Campaign Central) to campaigners in different parts of the UK
