Previous News: Degrees Lack Youth Appeal

A new survey reports that two thirds of young adults say they would be better off with vocational skills training than with traditional academic degrees.

  • Fear of debt arising from academic education was a considerable factor
  • A majority thought that high quality training was now available for school leavers
  • Half of the young adults chose vocational training as the best route to a secure career
