Learning: Local Strategic Partnerships Evaluation - A View of the Issues Raised

Creating Excellence's Head of Learning, Cherida Fletcher, has undertaken a review of the important evaluation of Local Strategic Partnerships, which was recently published by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM).  Cherida was seeking to bring out the key issues as she explains. "It is important for Creating Excellence to understand the challenges for those involved in Local Strategic Partnerships so that we can ensure that our activity, where appropriate, addresses their needs."

Creating Excellence has just launched its pilot programme for 'real ways of learning' which includes action learning sets, mentoring and shadowing.  Cherida continues, "Issues such as leadership, communication and mainstreaming all come up in the evaluation and we hope that some of our 'real ways of learning' programme will help people to develop their skills further in these areas."

Cherida's analysis of the National Evaluation of Local Strategic Partnerships: Formative Evaluation and Action Research Programme 2002 - 2005 is available here.
