The South West Design Review Panel (SWDRP) has affiliated with the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE).
Affiliation began on the 5th October 2009 and involves the CABE national design review panel and all eight regional panels (covering the whole of England outside London).
SWDRP, the other independent regional design review panels and CABE agreed to affiliate. The outcome of affiliation is an agreement of shared values and commitment to high standards of service in design review. The agreement commits the organisations to observe 10 key principles for design review and to work together on the development of a joint communication and reporting strategy, dissemination of learning, scheme allocation process and the production of an annual report.
CABE and the regional panels will retain their independence but there will be a system for the allocation of cases for design review between CABE and the regional panels.
