News From Creating Excellence: Creating Excellence Rewards 2010
The Rewards 2010 programme, regeneration and sustainable communities' awards, aims to celebrate the achievements of projects in the region, during the period 2008 to date, where excellent work and outstanding results have helped communities and improved people's lives.
It follows on 3 years after Creating Excellence's last awards competition, Rewards 2007, whose winners were Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership (CSEP), and commended schemes were West Cornwall Migrant Worker Action Group and Beyond the Immediate, a report on the needs of the over 50's in Wiltshire.
The judging panel is currently assessing the entries. A shortlist will be drawn up and invitations will be issued for the Rewards 2010 presentation event to be held in late November or early December.
The winners of this event will not only receive a lot of media attention and free access to Creating Excellence events, but also will become our nominees for the prestigious national regeneration awards, sponsored by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to be held in 2011. The last winners, Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership went on to become winners of the national award as well.
Anyone can nominate a project, the rules are very simple. For further information on the Rewards, including criteria eligibility and application procedure, follow the link (please note that the dates shown on the pdf have since been updated).
