As part of its reorganisation of the NHS, the government published the public health white paper "Healthy Lives, Healthy People", with a number of supporting documents, in November 2010.
Stephen welcomes the coming together of public health and planning, but suggests that it raises a number of questions about how this will happen, which the white paper doesn't answer.
The current consultation over the public health white paper (ends 8 March 2011) and the national planning policy framework (ends 28 February) provides an opportunity to raise these and other issues.
