January 2005 will see the launch of a new www.creatingexcellence.org.uk online database providing information on Regeneration Funding and Funding advisers in the South West region. Database access will be available to all registered website users.
The database is one of the key outputs of an extensive review of the delivery of Funding and Funding Advice in the South West. The study has been undertaken this year by Funding South West, a partner in Creating Excellence (see Funding SW description). The objective of the review has been to create a detailed map of the funding situation in the region. This information will be instrumental in improving the delivery of funding and funding advice to South West communities and helping them carry out their plans for regeneration, development and renewal.
The Funding and Funding Advisers database has been a key output from the study and once online will prove a valuable resource to everyone involved in regeneration in the region. The database holds information on more than 500 Funders and 125 Funding Advisers.
