Adult Learners' Week

Now supported by the European Social Fund, Adult Learners Week is the UK's largest annual festival and celebration of adult learning. The Adult Learners' Week event takes place from 21 to 27 May in 2005 and during the Week hundreds of activities will be taking place to encourage adults to return to learning. Degrees Lack Youth Appeal

A new survey reports that two thirds of young adults say they would be better off with vocational skills training than with traditional academic degrees. The survey was carried out for SkillCity 2005 - the UK's largest ever skills festival due to be held next year and expected to attract 120,000 young people to its 4-day event.
